Seasons Greetings All & welcome to a Festive edition of the Blog. With decorations up, presents wrapped & bank accounts emptied everyone is looking forward to a few days off work, spending time with people we don’t really want to, eating our own weight in food & having a number of Christmas Drinks. (Sat evening 7.30)
The TV is full of Christmas shit, no Aaron I’m not talking about The Ashes in HD, I’m talking about Christmas reruns from years gone by many of which were made when the crèche hadn’t even been born, I’m sure if I asked Sam & Ben about ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ I would get even blanker expressions than normal, they are twins after all.
In other local news this week, voting posters have gone up asking for you to ‘Vote Mike’, this was first brought to my attention by Sarah, can I assure you all that it’s not the vote for next years BGFC Captains, it’s just something to do with local politics, although maybe if I can get involved in that the I might be able to bribe someone so we can play our matches at BG Rec x
So the luck of the new kit didn’t last long, one game to be precise, although it did inspire another strong & committed team performance & if their linesman actually understood the offside rule, it may have been a very different result. It was a great physical game & showed how well we can stand up as a team & battle.
This week it’s Sevenoaks Weald, not sure if it’s their 1st, 2nd, 3rd team, just know they play at Tonbridge.
Cup game so early kick off, let’s get back on track, if we play like we did in the first half last week we will win, no question, be a nice early Christmas Present for us all, let’s have it then, ooooossshhhh.
One other thing Boys & Girls, you may or may not know it’s my Birthday on 27th December, I shall be visiting The Black Hole from about 7.30 onwards & would love for you to come & join me, no excuses as it’s a Friday evening & we don’t have a match the next day. (thanks Daz)
Take Care Sweets & Have a
Great Christmas Love Mikey
